I'm just yanking your chain! Yeah, I was aiming for the junction of his spine as it enters his body .here is so much THICK, THORNY brush that we do not want to have to pull them out of there, so a neck/spine shot (usually) drops them on the spot.

Just a flesh wound. The initial shock stunned him but once he came to, off he goes. My brother shot one like that a couple years.

My son pulled the shot on this one opening weekend. Buck was standing similar to second pic. Showed up 2 weeks later and is almost completely healed now. Hope to get him this weekend.

25-06 120 yards, laid him down. This is his picture 2 weeks later. I'll never understand it, glad he lived because the next year he blew up.

I would have never have thought this buck could survive. FireNGuns aka Brandon sent me both these pics from our lease a couple of weeks ago. We don't know who shot this buck.
