Very nice.

Yeah, got an email from TPWD this morning about the upcoming seasons and reminded me how fast October is coming up. Days feel like they are all blurred together lately.

Will be checking cameras again next week.

Man I'm behind. Haven't even been out since early March. Been busy busy at the house, and work with the kids out of school and a new baby at home. Hopefully I can get out in a week or two to at least get some feed out and limbs trimmed.

I get to watch this buck with my binos nearly everyday from my back porch.

Side note: Been down with a herniated disc, getting an updated MRI Monday. Hope this doesnít ruin my archery season.

Took my little man to the lease yesterday afternoon in Polk county. Lots of deer activity when we pulled up. Feeder went off at 6 and we had a dozen pigs on it 5 minutes later. 67 yard shot dropped the first one, then a single came back 10 minutes later and he dropped the hammer again. Not bad for 7 years old. He's pumped for this season but unfortunately he's gonna have to wait until youth weekend because I'll be up a tree with the bow. These were his first harvests ever. Proud dad here.

I have definitely seen it. But this year I have seen the best I ever have on the property I hunt. None during the day yet, but it still has my hopes up.

Also, this is the first year I have my spin feeder and gravity fed inside a pen with hog panels. This might be the difference, but not sure.

Very cool. You all are going to have a blast this year. Look forward to your updates.

I am at the lease doing some work this week....between each rain fall and I rode up on three of them at my un-penned feeder yesterday. They didnt even budge. 100 yards away and they just kept eating like I wasnt there.

Is that one older buck the same deer you've been chasing for a few seasons now? For some reason I'm thinking your neighbor got the big one, but I can't remember.

I am WAY behind on our place in Houston County. Feeders aren't going and all of my cameras are on my place in Oklahoma. With me being so busy at work and selling and buying a house, nothing has been done up there. It will be a total surprise this year as I have no idea what my shooters look like. I probably won't be able to get up there until September. I kind of like the idea of not knowing this year. I do need to get some corn and sweet feed out soon though.

The woods are so green here you would not believe its August. Deer came out of winter fat and can hardly wobble now. They are eating corn but I don't know why. All my 3 year olds look like 5 year olds. Crazy. Goidhirn year in Houston co.

Same situation happened to me last year with a new house, new baby and new business.
Showed up Friday morning before the bow opener (first time there since March) filled the feeders and thatís it. Killed my best deer on the afternoon of opening day.

Houston County always seems to produce. It'll just be a bit more of a surprise this year as to what's roaming around.

He will be a straight up 8. I passed him 3 times last year as what I think was 22" inside. He had a busted off brow and about an inch off his right beam so I gave him a pass. Looking forward to another fun season down there.
