I can't begin to thank each of you enough! The prayers worked and it appears that I will keep my job. I took full responsibility and manned up and spoke to our VP about what happened. I am going to develop some new SOP's to ensure that what happened doesn't happen again, lol! May God bless each of you. I can't stop thanking yall. The power of pray is tremendous and our God is SOOOO GOOD!!

That's great. I have always been one to stand up and take the black eye when I deserved it. It served me very well. I have also always encouraged my two sons to do the same.

Given the way your company has handled this speaks volumes about them as an organization. Good luck in the future!

Praise God and thank you sir for lifting Him up in this situation! Not only can He handle the big stuff, but He can handle the little stuff, day to day stuff too...
Our God is the God of the universe. He created it and controls it. I'm very happy for you sir! Just read thru this whole thread and it was a real uplift for me today.

That's awesome news, you must work for a place that genuinely cares for their employees, that's hard to find these days. People with integrity are hard to find too, I'm glad they realized that about you and gave you the chance to make things right.

Unfortunately in this day and age at most places it doesn't matter how good of a person you are or if you own up to your mistakes, HR is a beotch...

Me too. I wrecked a lathe back in the 70's that instead of repairing, they had to replace the machine.

Profile says Operation Geologist- likely more than $80k.

Glad the higher ups didnít take the extreme route.

Mistakes are meant to be made and learned from. As long as there is not a loss of life it can be fixed and learned from.
