Default Axis Mounts

Looking for some ideas for an axis mount. I have a couple being mounted now on the Jetz AX44 and 43 forms, which shows a pretty big section of mid-body, seeing what else is out there that looks good. Thanks in advance!

I've not yet shot an axis. It's high on my list. Black buck, fallow are down. But I need several more fallow's and an axis. I will say Fallow are like whitetail to me, not sure I could get tired of killing them.

Here's my "lame" wall pedestal mount. I think it turned out pretty dang good and compliments the beautiful axis hide really well. Compliments to Hills of Texas Taxidermy in Llano for a job well done.

This will be my next axis mount. This one and my avatar pic are by far the best axis forms in my opinion.

Iím in the same boat. Got one big axis are the taxi and hoping to add a second soon. I donít like the long too and the step downs of the AX44. Thinking of having it smoothed out and running the side evenly. Post up what you decide.

Some of those are too much mid body for me, but they sure do show off that coat very well. The full sneak is pretty cool, never have seen that before on an Axis.

The point of the mid body mount is to show off the coat

Yeah, got that part just trying to politely say not a huge fan of that much mid body. Still like a pedestal though.

Dang yíall have some lame mounts. Hereís my full upright. I like this if itís high up on the eave or high up a fireplace. If it was going on a side wall Iíd have to do a lame mount and show off the hide.

Awesome mounts, guys! Appreciate y’all sharing. When I was dropping one off yesterday I looked at the one hogmess posted, just don’t know if I have a spot where that would look good, but I really like it just from a uniqueness standpoint

Do the faces get whiter the older the axis is or is it just different for different animals?

Don't make start post reference pics of live axis noses, and I have some good ones..
They do vary in color from whiteish pink to chocolate mocha but NONE are Black.
Jet actually sells a custom "Axis nose" color that he mixes. I don't have any. It looks great though.

Here's mine, all three are different forms. The middle one is actually a combo of two that my taxi put together because I wanted something different. All lame though

I love that pose..
It takes a really big, mature, bodied buck to fit that manikin.. A young one wont even come close to fitting..
That is a vey cool looking buck.. Very unique. I love his mass..
