Default Anyone have a Palmer they’d part with?

I am looking for a Mike Palmer Longbow around 56#@28”
I know Bobby H. has one
Alaska had a minimum poundage of 50# at your draw length so I’m in the market for a bow since none of my bows meet that requirement

They’re like hens teeth.

I have one around 40 lbs.

But I won’t sell.

Mike would make more. I’d buy a 50.

I talked to Mr Mike yesterday and unfortunately he sold all his longbow forms to a guy who he says is also no longer building them

They do have quite a few bows. I've bought a few Schafers and Tall Tines from RMS gear and had good service and an honest description. IMO, they tend to price stuff about a hundred dollars over the market. I have no hesitation in calling Tommy and making an offer. Sometimes that saves a few dollars.

Buddy mentioned selling his Palmer but it's a recurve.

I wonder if Bob Lee limbs would work on a Palmer.

Yes I saw that one but I prefer a takedown bow. Thanks

From what I understand Palmer built the handles and Mark Hornes built the limbs.

I bet Mark has the forms.

Mark sold them to a guy who is no longer building Horne bows but he said he might in the future. So a friend has a Horne longbow and the limbs fit my Palmer but they aren’t heavy enough to get me to 50#@ 26” draw. So if I can find some Horne limbs at about 62-65# I think I’ll be where I need to.
