    ATV Light Electrical Issue

evidently history repeats itself, as the electrical gods have again failed to rule in my favor. bought a light bar and wiring harness to supplement the stock lights on my Sportsman 570. installed light (12"), installed harness, installed ground. Light worked. switch worked. on/off light on switch worked. Turned on the bike and everything went to hell. no light on switch, light would not turn on. All connections look good, no fuses broken. Thoughts from the gs?

did you wire it directly to the battery or get a hot wire on the bikes wiring?

That's what I was thinking..... If you wire straight to the battery I cant imagine the issues.

Not to be smart arse but you need 12 VDC+ and a good ground for the light to work. You don't have one or the other. A test light would make short work out of figuring out what is wrong.

Use a relay. Your switch may not have been able to handle the load.
