Pretty neat, I have never seen one and I have been hunting for 50+ years.

Thats what i assumed too at first glance but they're both whitetail Doe. No pronounced adams apple and head shspe is all wrong for fallow.
I had a good long look at them from less than 50 yards.

The lease is in Lampasas County. About 7-8 miles out of Lometa.

I hope they make it too. It is just me and my cousin on our 520 acres and they are safe from us. We are also surrounded by a 1600 acre unhunted cattle ranch so hopefully their exposure to hunters is minimal

That's pretty cool. I've only seen them in pics, never in the wild.

                            Neat

Any chance that is the same one and you saw it two different times or did you see both together?

There are quite a few in that area from east of Lometa over to the Adamsville area. I hunt North east of lampasas and have 2 out there as well. I will see if I can find some pictures
