Have you had your C-reactive protein test included in your bloodwork? This is an inflammatory marker and an elevated # could indicate the presence of a pathogen (viral, bacterial, or fungal). From there, it’s a matter of isolating the type and cause of the pathogen.

I’m just grabbing at straws here, though.

I’m not sure exactly what that means . Is that a cardiac issue?

Similar. The HIDA scan measures how much the gallbladder ejects out into the small intestine. Normal is greater than 35%. Mine was 22%, so the gallbladder isn't contracting, which is causing my symptoms.

I mention thanks for the heads up more so for spurring me on to look into it further, rather than just leaving it alone.

Sure glad you at least now know what's up. That alone will bring some "relief"! Now you can work with your Dr's to lay out a plan forward to actually fix it!

Had mine out and went on vacation a week and a half later. It is an easy recovery for most. Life will be much better with it gone, given your symptoms. Enjoy your rest and I bet you'll heal up quick.

Abdomen is sore, so I'm loaded with pain meds.

Cool. No stones, but it was diseased and inflamed.

Had my gall bladder removed in July 2015. Mine was full of little bitty stones. Luckily I only had one episode becasue that was the worst pain I have ever experienced. Got it removed 2 days later and all good since then. During recovery, you are going to find out how much we actually used our abdominal muscles and dont realize it lol. It's not a big deal though. I was sore for about a week but I went back to work two days later.
