Beautiful day yesterday.

Mary turned me loose on a mature doe at CDLC and the Wasp Jackhammer hit her just about as perfectly as I could have wanted. Poked a giant hole right through her heart.

Mary did have to help me find it. Dang thing made a hard right turn. When I saw that I was hoping it would go back to the sendero. It did get reasonably close though.

Yeah, if things keep going like this I might make it! Not only can I cook, do the laundry, mow the yard, and all of that, I can bring home the venison!

Anyone notice my throwback Brush Country?

Thanks Richard. I was really happy with the shot. Nailed exactly the spot and ruined both shoulders. Smoked the whole top of the heart. Could stick 4 fingers all the way through her heart.

Oh yeah. And old dudes rule!

It was a great shot and that Jackhammer's damage was very impressive.
Short distance track (the best kind of tracking)!
My turn now

Hey Kevin. Got it done. Say hello to Mary for me. I finally get to go hunt this week, no customers to deal with. In fact, the whole family is spending Thanksgiving at the ranch, including Kristi’s 90 year old mom. Happy Thanksgiving
