Just picked up a BNIB Radical arms upper for the AR. I originally built the rifle in 6.5 G so now I need some 5.56 mags. Lots to choose from, What brands do I need to stay away from?

You can't go wrong with either Magpul or Lancer, both have a proven record. Stay away from Promag for any gun unless you like feeding issues.

I have a bunch of Pmags but only buy Okays now.

bumping this to let you all know that Bigtex has pmags for 6.99 right now.

The OKay, Sure Feed and other Gov't contract aluminum mags are always good. The PMags seem to be the best of the polymer. But it does not hurt to get an assortment of other brands.

I personally prefer 20 round mags just for the short length. I've had good luck with cmmg, and amend2
