    Campfire cobbler

I suspect many already know how to make this, and if anyone has any improvements to offer, I’m all ears!

2 cans pie filling (cherry, apple, blueberry, etc)
    1 box White cake mix
    1 stick butter

Line your Dutch oven with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Empty both cans pie filling into the pot. Dump the cake mix on top. Cut butter into pieces and place all over. Put lid on and place in fire. Place coals on lid to cook the cake mix evenly. About 20mins

Do not mix! Literally do just what he said. I use squeeze butter instead and just squirt it all over.

That there’s a dump cake. Campfire is a nice touch.

I put brown sugar on top of the cake mix before butter, it’s awrsome!

I'll have to show this to a buddy. He's a cobbler making fool.

I've had that same recipes with Pillsbury canned biscuits on the bottom.
Line the bottom with biscuits. Pour in canned peaches then cake mix on top.
This takes some practice because its easy to burn the biscuits on the bottom, but it sure is good when it comes out right.

2 cans sliced peaches (or other fruit)
                              1 yellow cake mix
                              1 can Sprite or 7-up

Put fruit on bottom of Dutch Oven, add cake mix, pour soda in, mix completely, put lid on. Put 12 briquettes on top and 12 briquettes on bottom and bake 45-60 minutes, rotating oven and lid every 15 minutes. I sometimes cook this at home by putting the dutch oven into my range oven at 350 degrees for the same amount of time.
