Thanks for all the compliments. A HUGE Shoutout to all the positive thoughts that help make this happen.
This has been a CRAZY DAY. Up at 430 this morning, a little coffee and some Kansas news.dressed and out the door and on stand by 6. Bumped one deer off the hand corn, another deer strolls by at 620, shoot my buck at 645. Started tracking at 725 (had to wait on sunlight), find him, gut him, drag him to a trail. Walked to the house and lose the extra clothes go back and drag another 125 yards to the pasture fence. Get him to the house, check him in, skin and quarter him and get him on ice. Showered, packed my truck and left Ottawa, Kansas at 1220. Get home in Yoakum, Texas at 1230 midnight, unpack the truck and now relaxing. WOW..
After over 40 hours on stand since Sunday, looking at over 50 deer, shoot a doe and a buck (buck on the last hunt), I think I have had a GREAT vacation. Now to get a little sleep and drive some more tomorrow to watch my grandson play football in Troy, Texas.
I know I still owe you a recap of the doe harvest, and I will get you that tomorrow. Now I need sleep..
