Settled in.

The horizon is lighting up.
It's still and quiet.
Coyotes howling in the distance and Turkeys answering them from the roost.

Today should be a good day!!!

I'm set up in a set we call the Scrape stand. It's on a field edge over looking a big acorn flat. There's a big scrape like to my East and a finger of timber to my South the deer use to travel to the cut corn field.

Wind will be good here till 1:00 and then I'll be making a change to my climber. I'm gonna set back up where I had Trashy 8 come out 2 days ago.

Clark is set back up in the same set as yesterday, with a buck and doe decoy, until the wind changes. Then he'll be making a move too.

He is focusing on killing High & Tight, while I'm trying to kill the Trashy 8.

Wishing he had just a tad more wind this morning, but I guess it could be worse.

We are trying to get it done. Thanks for hanging with us.

Startimg out to be a good morning so far.
Small 3 pnt came cruising thru. Had a doe feed on acorns for a bit. And just rattled in what looked to be a 2 year old 8 pnt that has lots of potential!
Clark had a few does scoping out the decoy but no bucks yet.

Got some steady action in the acorn flat.

8 point just cruised back thru to 10 yards.

Spike milling around on acorns.

And about 83 squirrels running every where!!

Wind changed on me and I had to move. But it's not a bad thing. I'm set up in my climber in the same creek bottom where I filmed Trashy 8.
Lots of acorns in here and I can see 2 different fields on my South and East sides. Big Creek to my West and that is where Trashy 8 came from and went back to, 2 days ago.
There's a good chance I might not even lay eyes on him, but there's just as good a chance that I will.

I haven't been set up 5 minutes and already got 2 small bucks feeding on acorns.
