If the sky is clear where you are tonight, look up

The Quadrantids meteor shower is peaking overnight. Some years it's better than others, but this one is often an impressive sight. You may see meteors at any time after dark but it is supposed to peak at about 3:00am in the northeast. Assuming there's no clouds that should make for great viewing because the moon will have set by then leaving a very dark sky.

Should be clear in Aspermont TX. I’ll be looking while I’m tending the fire. Thanks for the heads up.

Is it worth the effort for us big city dwellers?

Seems it may be too low in the sky + too much light pollution here in DFW...

                We’re hunting in the panhandle.
It’s clear up here and should be nice for viewing.
                Thanks Jerp!

Been out for 45 min, up here by Lake O The Pines. Dark, clear night, no lights on anywhere.
Haven't seen jack ! 3 of us watching.
Must be a part of the sky, that is too low for us to see at the moment...
Gonna keep an eye out until about midnight.

Great info, thank you. I’m backpacking with my boy at Colorado Bend State Park. Virtually zero light pollution. Looks like we’re getting up at 3am to check it out!

                            Thanks again!
