    Elk heart

How does it taste compared to deer heart? Toss it out, or eat it? Thanks.

Eat it, I will never throw a hearty away now. I bet it tastes the same, just 10x bigger. The only heart I haven't tried yet is a javelina, from my kills anyways.

Tastes like any other deer species heart. Delicious!

I would toss it. But I don’t eat the hearts.

They are great. I save all my hearts on elk and deer.

Tastes great! I usually cut into strips and chicken fry them but the last one I cut into a few steaks and cooked in a cast iron skillet with some S&P, butter, garlic and rosemary. Turned out great.

How do you cut them up? Just curious.

I don't want to speak for him but he probably uses a sharp knife.
