That's because there are almost 2700 registered hunters out there, if it's legal, it gets killed (most of the time). Someone's bound to kill something some where, some time, or some place. The stats say so. And what your seeing here are deer that were subjects to Darwin's theory because of lack of intelligence from not staying on private property.

I wouldn't call mine great. On private he would be a cull. But he's a mature deer. And a 100 inch 8 point is all that guy was ever going to be.

For every nice deer out there, there are two old trash bucks that are rarely if ever seen except on camera at night or during the rut.

I'm not a very good hunter. I just spend a lot of time in the stand.

To me, that is one of the qualities of a good hunter. If your not in the stand, you can't expect to kill much. The more sitting one dose, the greater the chances of making a kill.

With this post I'm only 10 more from 5000 and it's even harder to believe the majority of them has been on the Whitney threads. It's only fitting that I get there on this year's thread so that's the plan to get there by new years eve.

I'm seeing it from the due West right now. And should be from the NW till about 3Pm. Then swing from the due north.

At least it's a mild wind.

Good luck to ya Switchback. Found a coupon for ya too.

We hade to split the hindquarters on both just to load them on a cart , but you can't even imagine how big the back straps are. Gonna be a hefty processing bill when it's over plus the taxi bill on both I would think with kill fees he's into about 12 grand or so.

I helped kill one of those many years ago on ambush. Cost my squad $150 because a papasan claimed it was his.

Well Storm is on his way to 5000, I just hit 30 and I'm a spike now, how many more before I'm a 4 point? Oh and deer movement is at night only. I had 140 pic in 4 days all at night.

But the rules say you'll forfeit your P&Y privileges if you do that. You've got a daily average you have to maintain. It shows you in your profile what your average is. Yours is 2.23 per day. You'll forfeit by 2.5 days! Didn't you read the rules?

Well didn't see any deer but about 5:30 I heard something coming in behind me and looked down... I was only about 7 or 8 feet of the ground and had a pig go right under me. Not 2 steps from the base of my tree. Smelled where I set my backpack down I guess and ran off. At least I saw something.

Thanks TG. I'll get in touch tomorrow.
