Default DIY New Zealand Hunt

Anyone planned and actually gone to NZ on a DIY Red Stag/Tahr/Chamois hunt on the South Island? I am looking into this and finding some older forums but nothing recent. Looking to see what cost would be and what equipment to take. Nothing is set in stone but thinking of going in the next few years. TIA

Tagged...didn't know this was an option.

NZ is one of the most beautiful and most expensive places to hunt.

Look at Remi Warren's you tube (solo hunter) and instagram posts. I think he has done something on cost and how to put one together. But then, I'm old and sometimes mis-remember.

I've found one blog that I think he helped write and it was very informative, I'm just asking around for anyone that's experienced it, pros cons, equipment, animals to hunt and what to look for as far as habitat.
