    Traveling decoy

Always wanted to start a traveling decoy. I have seen it other places but not here. I would ship / pass a duck floater to someone they would sign and date the bottom, and hunt with it for a hunt or two and then pass it along for it to continue the journey. I know this is mainly a deer forum but seems to be plenty of water Fowler’s. This is a way to share a spread with new and old friends and meet new people in the process. Any interest?

I’m in, it would be cool to include a small journal to describe the hunt and where it took place

Excited to see some interest. What species is most common and who wants to start? . I probably won’t get to hunt until North Dakota this year but I know teal is going strong.

A decoy deal was done on another forum I frequent and it made it coast to coast

If it makes it back I will take it to the Canadian boarder and down to Deep South Texas. Love the Journal idea. Fairly new here and figured this would be a cool way to meet new people and pass some stories

Let’s decide on a species and we will get it on its way.

There was a thread earlier where a guy mentioned he killed a “teallard”

I think we should find one of those and use it. Lol

We did it with a goose decoy. I was using it & we had a 4 band morning with it.

I have seen these before and thought it would be fun. I'm in. I head to Colorado first week of November for a few hunts. Or I hunt a few places in Texas. Flooded Timber in SE Tx the coast and central TX.
