35 Remington is a way cool old school round, that sucker will put the smack down on some deer or larger game. Another cool lever gun is a marlin 39a one of the best 22s ever made in my opinion. I wish they kept making them.

Your buddyís gun would be made by Remington.... These are older Marlins.... The 375 was made in 1980 and the 35 Remington was made in 1963.... Iíve never had a problem....

On the left is a 1964 marlin Marauder in 35 remington. No it is NOT for sale.
On the right was my first deer gun in 1984 a marlin 30AS(basically a 336 no frills).
2marlins by Tony Pic, on Flickr

That same Marlin on the right 20 years later with a heck more notches in it.
KIMG1008 by Tony Pic, on Flickr

My oldest son about 10 years ago with his first hog using his 336 in 35 rem.

I have a Savage 99 in 300 Sav made in 1923 that is buried in the safe. Have to dig it out. It too is all notched up from kills.

I have 336 that pretty much has to live in a coat of oil or it'll be covered in light rust in just a week or two

What if we made ONE thread and put lever gun pictures in it, instead of starting over and over and over and over? It'd be a lot cooler if we did . . . .

We could even call it the Lever Gun Picture Thread.
