looking better than a few weeks ago. The bucks are hitting the protein hard right now. I never reset the dates on my cameras since I am up every two weeks so the dates are not correct but all were taken in the last two weeks.

I was going on my 4th yeAr of chasing this guy. Along with about 5 other deer I had lots of history with, just wished I could have sealed the deal on one of my big deer before losing it.

Checked the only 2 cams I put out 2 weeks ago. Deer went thru 400 lbs of protein in less than that

Also had a camera hid up in a tree about 12 foot watching a gate. Someone took the liberty of taking the cam down and hung it from the gate

No oh crap pics just yet

I sure hope you can get their picture. I would then like to compare it to pictures I got of people dumping on our place!

Batteries in this one where dead and hadn't taken a pic in months. Not sure how they saw it and needed a ladder to get it down.

They have been cutting trees to the north on Corey's land. Not sure if they are scouting the stuff next door to us for cutting or not

I pulled cards in Angelina county this past Saturday. Hogs, hogs, and more hogs. A couple of real jumbo lone boars and a few sounders making the rounds. Also good number of does, fawns, and coyotes but not a single horn on camera. Similar pattern to last year. Saw a bunch of young bucks later on.

Me n my grandsons pulled cards behind the house after a 2 day soak... first pic was a good 8 (legal so they were excited and potentially their first deer...), then hogs started showing up... fewer and fewer deer... Gonna get the stand out pretty quick, then it's game on for those porkers!!

Last time I was at my lease I noticed pigs had been all over an area I was dumping a corn-roasted soybean mix. I don't want to put up a pen there due to it being my hand-corn spot in a creek bottom travel corridor away from my feeder so I'm thinking come deer season I need to bring a .22 when I hunt there. That way I can stealthily snipe those suckers without turning my 7mm-08 loose and scaring everything. LOL

Trapped some coons at my feeder a month ago and the corn is piling up ever since. I hope the coon carnage didn’t scare the deer away.

I cut old 10í t-post down in 3rds @ 40Ē for the post.

I ended up cutting my feeders off this past weekend. The dadgum pigs have been so thick I can smell them seemingly everywhere. I'll turn them back on in 2 weeks when I go to do the last bit of mowing but as it stands right now opening weekend may be a pig slaughter (which is fine. I hate them nasty bastages).

Most my bucks have gone mia. I was on hand corn spots and the hogs were killing me. I moved almost all the cameras but I lost the bucks when I did and havenít found much new, just a bunch of does and fawns. We had a big work weekend in corrigan at the new place and got a lot done.

My 28Ē tall hog pens did the trick at my swamp stand and cowpea plot, zero hog pics a week later and a few deer filtering back in finally.

48 days out!

A few of my non target bucks behind the house. Maybe get my little girl on one of these though.

Spooked this mangey black coyote while running cameras this AM on my wheeler. He ran right in front of a camera I have set on a trail.
I killed a pretty black on here a few years ago.

Both of them are mature, the wide one didnít change this year at all really. Maybe a tad wider.
The other has a split left main beam at the tip and the right g2 is split. I would like see another year on him. But either one would be a great first buck for an 8 year old!
My only management here is to try and shoot the oldest buck that hangs around... itís only 40 acres. However my tag is reserved for a special deer here.
