Don't put that all at the feet of McCain
There were two other GOP senators that voted it down as well

Urban/Suburban vs Rural

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-w...divide-deepens

Where Democrats lost ground in rural areas, they won big in the suburbs. Democrats picked up big chunks of House seats in Minneapolis, southeastern Pennsylvania, Richmond and New York. The suburban wave even swamped Republicans who had prepared for a tough race year, like Reps. John Culberson (R-Texas), Carlos Curbelo (R-Fla.) and Dan Donovan (R-N.Y.).

Farther down the ballot, the GOP bloodletting was worse: Democrats won five Texas state House seats in Dallas County, and several more legislative seats in suburban Denver, where the party won control of the state Senate.

In Chester County, outside Philadelphia, Republicans held eight of nine state House seats before the midterm elections. On Tuesday, Democrats won six of those nine.

“The suburbs were really good for us,” said Jessica Post, the executive director of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee. “We still have to compete and win in small towns across America.”

McCain voted what is constituents wanted.
Stop lying on a dead man
Not cool

There were two other versions of the repeal where up to NINE Republican senators voted against it so they share the blame too

I'm tired of all the McCain bashing

It needs to stop

A couple of quick thoughts here before I go to sleep:
This bodes well for Trump’s policies going forward, he’s got a much stronger Senate backing him up than he did the past two years. Only a few more of the old guard insiders are left to oppose him.

The down ballot races where Republicans lost seats (or closer than it should have been) is the result of a lot Conservatives not casting a ballot just because they have an R after their name. My State House district flipped to Blue and we’re a strong conservative area that turned out to vote for everyone else, but tons of people refused to vote for a guy who didn’t go to bat to cut down on property taxes. The term “Rhino” comes to mind.

This election cycle saw unprecedented voter enthusiasm for the Dems, this was their best shot at retaking both houses and State Legislatures prior to Trump being back on the ballot in 2020 and then redistricting following the census. They came up short on getting a big enough cushion in the House to be comfortable and Trump had a string of victories up and down the ballot. This doesn’t look well for 2020 for the Dems.

Want to run for State House? Now’s your chance!

People always say this. Must find a way. Well, what the hell are they wanting? What are blacks wanting? What are asians wanting? Trump has set up an economic reality that has created millions of jobs, he praises christ often, more Hispanics are employed than ever before, same with blacks. What the hell does the Republicans need to do? Pass out money
The answer is that there is no way. Look at their historical voting patterns as well as other minority groups. They don't change enough to matter and they reproduce faster than whites. Demographics will be the end of the Republicans. This is never mentioned by the media for fear of being labeled racist, but it's 100% going to happen. It's just a matter of when. When TX goes it's over and that is coming very soon.

I think our best long term hope is Europe. They have already been down the Socialism road and some are starting to see the light. If a big conservative move happens there and is successful maybe it will open some eyes in America.

You haven't the moral compass to not speak ill of a dead man that can not defend himself?

There were three desenting GOP votes on that last variation so why place 100% of the blame at McCain's feet?
Y'all have an axe to grind.
That man heroically gave up his body and risked his life for this country only to have yall disrespect him.

What's the difference between what y'all are doing and those guys kneeling during the anthem?

We should respect our vets no matter their stance on obamacare or abortion.

I don't like the vet bashing

Well it seems like the democrats are still voting in FL and AZ.......SMH

Houston is blue, and it covers most of the county, just another Detroit/Baltimore/Chicago in the making.
