NRCS Question
10-02-2020, 12:19 PM
Anyone use this program before? I’ve got the ball rolling for my place but, the guy I’m dealing with said there was no difference between the Veteran farmer vs the beginning farmer.
Thanks in advance.

Yes. Some good programs. Fencing, pond building, land clearing, rotational grazing programs just to mention a few.

What do you need to know? I work for nrcs.
Beginning farmer and veteran farmer get a higher pay rate than the standard cost list.

I wish I had know this. What qualifies as a beginning farmer?

Is there any advantage over beginning farmer for being a veteran farmer or is there no difference? If there’s no difference, why is there an option?
