I was out last weekend. Callan ln sucks! it’s dry for the most part except for a few holes. The deer were moving good and had bucks pushing does. I shot a decent 9. Good luck!

I'll be going up Callan Lane late tonight.
Usually do about 40ish mph. I don't think that will happen tonight.

Saw a nice 10pt Thursday evening. I was in a box (rainy) with a rifle (I bow hunt) and could not make myself shoot it with the 7mag. It was beating the bushes and pawing the ground so I assumed it would be back the next day.
Long story short, never assume. Heard shots over the fence (next ranch over) the next morning, and it never showed up the next 3 days on our 1200 acre lease.
Very green, and looked like spring. Deer would come nibble the corn and then start walking off grazing on the green grass.

Gary, sorry we missed you on Thursday.
My brother and I were going to take you out to lunch. Lazy Ladle was as great as ever!

Capp35, so sorry I had to make a mad dash to Colorado City. I did not get back into town until nearly 5:00 PM. Hope that you had a great hunt. Really cooling off here today, supposed to be in the 20's tomorrow morning and Wednesday morning. When are you planning to return?

Seen two good bucks (110-120) have a fight of fights. One came out busted up. While they were fighting 4 other bucks came in checking it out. Watched a couple younger ones chase some does. Finally started seeing axis again which is great. Look forward to next trip.
