shoot FRISCO is Dinero area, and i aint driving close to an hour to pay the FRISCO prices.. wish would put one like in Mesquite, Pleasant Grove sorry if this has been hashed out already

Their prices will be lower than the competition and they'll take a loss on some ad items to get customers in the door - it's what they do...that's the reason you will find no Kroger or Albertsons in their hometown.

Not saying they'll run the competitors out of town up there, but they have a great business model.

Sounds like their Central Market stores.....those are some high rollers in there. 😛

NOPE....I’ve been in the industry my whole career and I’ve never heard of HEB closing a store period. At least not because of poor performance $ volume-wise. Remodel/relocations excluded.

There's a mom and pop grocery store still? Won't be for long if HEB moves in. In reality, heb is local. They just have a big local.

I think we are up to 5 now...the one we go to is said to sell more meat & beer than any other in the state, just did a huge remodel & put in a bbq joint.

I'm really surprised it took so long...who is the powerhouse up in that area currently??

I believe the Waco area has 4 or 5 HEB's and they are always lipping full with people. Wife does our main grocery shopping there, but I tend to navigate to the Brookshire Brothers closer to the house.

B Bros sucks. Lol. I don't see how the one in Wimberley is still open.

I shop at Krogers (and probably pay more) just because the HEB across the street is always too crowded for my liking. I need wide open lanes.
