    Best project ever!!! Euro mount

This was my first buck taken via bow and arrow, and my first Texas buck that was not a spike. I honored him by making a walnut mount. Everything turned out fantastic. I am REALLY happy with the walnuts cuts I chose and where I picked to place the template.

Thank you, all. This project just kinda came together after watching a YouTube video. I freehand the oval base on the bandsaw, used a cut off of the base for the piece between the base and the mount. Had to use a template for the mount though... All in all it came out just about perfect. I just added shellac and took 0000 steel wool to it. Looks great and should be a strong finish.

The best part is all I have to do is make a keyhole cut, unscrew the mount, flip it 180, and I can then mount it on a wall...

Looks awesome, hope you don't have a big dog.. My first Euro, my dog ate the nose off it, I didn't think about putting it where she couldn't get it.
