    Actually, I would grade it as XF and get 8c. Jeweler probably used a BU coin to start and judging from the marks on the bezel, got some wear. Just saying.

            My cousin collects coins. He's saying it is a "framed" coin. Possibly used as a pendant.
            1942 might be the year of someone's birth.
            A 1943 penny would be silver.

                      okay, let's confuse things a little more. The nickels during WWII were partially made of silver. They needed the nickel material more than silver.

                          There were some, very few, copper 1943's. They are worth thousands.

                            Looks like a machinist in training type project.
                            A little heat and the coins will fall out.
                            The tails side one could be a copper 43, worth 250k

                              Yepp there were silver nickels and steel pennies. They needed copper and nickel for the war
