    Another grass/weed I.D.

What in the cornbread tarnation is this stuff. What I get for using Scotts rye grass to overseed my yard last fall I guess. It's real tee tiny and thick, close to the ground about 1.5" high and soft underfoot. Actually don't look too bad but not dark green enough. Wonder if it will die out with hot weather?

Don't think so. Pennyweed don't look like this. Looks more like dollar weed. I don't think this stuff is in the pennywort family.

I believe it is a Clover of some kind.
It will also get stickers on it after it matures and don't walk on it barefooted!!!

It looks like the stuff that was growing everywhere in my backyard....especially shade and damper areas. Easy to pull up like a mat...and has a noticable "sticky" feel to it. Sure wish I knew the name myself.

Closest thing I have found is Sticky Willy aka gallium aparine. If it gets out of hand and starts being a problem I will soak it with Image and it that don't work I have a brush burner and big bottle of propane.

Try dicamba on it. That kills most all winter weeds in my yard.
