    Processor Prices

    What is everyone paying for processing these days?

    Nothing fancy, backstraps packaged and the remainder in burger... Something like that. What would you expect to pay?

            I do as well, and I get my straps ground into burger. I mix my deer 50/50 with beef chuck and have the entire deer made into burger except the tenderloins.

              Very rarely, but on occasion when deer is only field dressed.

                        A friend of mine is a processor in Edwards county and when I'm over there to visit I see all kinds of thing come in. the worst are the ones that haven't even field dressed the deer and have been parading it around for hours.

                              Hard to find anyone under $120 in dfw. I’ve been using rendon meat market in burleson and like them a lot. I think they increased to $100 this year which isn’t bad. Just called ahead and make sure they are still taking in deer. Went one time in December and they stopped taking deer in because they were out of room.
