Default Farmers

Any “real farmers” on here? I mean no disrespect to you guys who have a few hundred acres and grow things, I’m talking about very large, gov subsidized, livelihood farmers who are connected to the USDA.

Is this true?

So all these folks in the video are lying?

I don’t know. I’m not a farmer……I’d like to have a farmer tell me if this is not true.

Not true at all. Have no idea why this rumor has been floated out there, but we farm several thousand acres in Central Texas. Nothing even remotely close to this is happening

It would take weeks to mow a field with a zero turn mower. The oil they spray is used motor oil to knock down dust. My dad hasn’t been contacted to destroy his crops. I say fake news.

Wouldn't put it past this current administration but I watched 2 minutes and I call BS

Agent Orange? Doubt it

Mow hundreds of acres with a lawn mower because of "carbon footprint"? Horse crap
They have tractors that would till it in hours and probably have less overall emissions

Hahaha, this was my first thoughts as well.

While I am not a farmer, I have a few farmer friends that farm thousands of acres. I showed this to one of them and he just chuckled and then shook his head.

The real problem is no workers still to be had with the government paying folks not to work. Check on the chicken farmers and butcher houses and you’ll see a shortage coming. Small chickens are phasing out and baby back ribs will soon be off many menus.

The guy in the video has ZERO credibility. He even starts out by saying "My sister said...".

So judge a whole industry based off some nit twit who can't even say he or his sister is a farmer? I couldn't get past the first 60 seconds. Why would anyone believe this guy? He offered no credibility, no expertise.

And for you to sit here and believe that idiot over anyone here that is actually in the industry even on a part time basis is bs in itself.

I haven’t been told to do anything with a lawnmower yet. I farm, had a good year, corn, cotton, sugar prices pulled me almost all the way out of a hole created by 3 flood years in a row. I need it to rain in the watershed quick or I will be buying lawnmowers in the classifieds

I'm a rancher and don't grow crops but do sale calves for slaughter and have heard nothing like this. I also think they would plow the crop under and not use a packer.
