    Sheet Metal Bow Stand

I'm about to start building a 6'x5' box bow stand. I am going to frame it out of 1"x1" angle iron and use sheet metal for the siding. The floor is going to be plywood and I'll probably put a rubber mat down too to help with noise. What would be the best way to insulate it? I have heard that sticky Armaflex rolls wouldn't work very well..

Sounds like it’s going to be way to loud

I was thinking that insulating it would help cut down on noise

I built mine out of square tubing and sheet metal. I purchased 3/4" 4x8 foam board from lowes and cut to fit. Then I laid plywood over the top and stapled/glued cheap discounted carpet. It come out nice.

We used 1" thick foam board insulation. You would have to figure a way to keep it in there. When we build our blinds we sandwich it between sheetmetal, we also use 1" square tubing instead of angle iron.

I think carpet would be a big help with dampening the noise.

How about a DIY sprayfoam kit?
