Why didn't you shoot the sow?

I pay zero attention to that. I shoot the one that presents a shot.

But please tell me why, and be specific as it pertains to the property I’m hunting and the scenario in which I’m in, that I should shoot the sow. And go!!

Wasn't a slam. Just sows are usually better eating and from a hog control standpoint shooting sows is a better option. Some people/places like some hogs for hunting. Can't blame you for that.
