What is the deer movement like this weekend?

I’m in a blind in McCullough county right now and deer movement is really good. Movement in San Saba county has been good since Tuesday.

Thanksgiving weekend and the weekend after was alway the most movement when I hunterd there.

It fired up big time Thursday morning. Bucks running all day. I saw at least 5 new bucks that one day.

Young bucks chasing big time. Getting the does ready. Big boys will show up pretty soon. May be 10 days are so. JMO. Always happens within 10 days of Thanksgiving one way are the other. Another rut with the older yearlings around Christmas.

Up till this evening it has been good. This evening between the wife and me we saw 1 doe. Last couple of days young bucks have been hounding the does. Getting close now.

They were plain stupid on Thursday. I drove my side by side within 25 yards of a nice 8 point.. Video taped him and tried to run him off by talking to him.

The scent is in the air for sure.

Was slow at our place SW of SS the last couple of days. Deer just not moving much.
