Why is our field green and the neighbors brown?

Our 10 acre field of wheat and oats are green and looking good. But looking at our neighbors his are brown, rust like. Why?

Could it be he used bad seed?

        I'm not a farmer.

I am not sure if he planted oats. I know he fertilizes . I think maybe rust but not sure. Last year his fields were awesome

My guess would be rust if he planted oats.

Sometimes the grass just isn't greener on the other side...

              Somebody had to say it

If the neighbor planted bob oats they will rust pretty bad in certain conditions. Just a guess.

                  Lots of possibilities...

Is his land lower than yours??? does it hold water more? Lots of lower fields SUCK this year because they have drowned... Our field that is usually the worst is doing the best this year because it sheds water better. We have a BOG for a main wheat field.

Could be rust, haven't heard a lot of complaints on it this year but always possible.
