How far can you reach with it? What do you hunt with it? I was considering buying this rifle but i don't Have a purpose yet

I bought my Ruger Varmint Target after talking with Gary in Indianapolis while the NRA was at the Convention Center. That rifle is a sweet shooter.

Two Rugers I want to add to my collection:


1) old style 5.5" SS Redhawk in .41 Mag


2) one of the old .44 auto tubular carbines (like I used to have). Not the second gen rotary.



But wouldn't mind owning one of the limited run "mini .308" before they changed to the other less powerful cartridge. They were discontinued because of problems handling the pressures. I remember seeing them on the show tables when they first came out. Then, the chamberings began to change.


I've also enjoyed the RSI line from the beginning. Beautiful arms!
