Got a roast that found in the freezer when I was looking for deer sirloin in the insta pot right now. Guess we'll see how it goes. Wife is gone all day....why not.

I made one with a small pork butt last night and it’s out of bounds good. I like it better than beef.

Stop grinding deer shoulders- Mississippi pot roast

Yesterday. Put it on in the morning and I work from home. Long day of smelling that in the crockpot before dinner got here.
Leftovers for dinner tonight. It really is pretty amazing how much juice this ends up with. I ended up using two venison roasts instead of a shoulder.

We do this with beef but my deer shoulders are getting ground for snack sticks! But I do love this roast.

You can also do this with the shanks. Most people leave them on deer since they're full of tendons, but those tendons turn to jelly after a long cook.
Tossing the shanks is mind boggling.

I'm doing this. Trying to get off beef. This would be perfect

If your talking venison, javelina, feral pig. I never leave the bone in any of it, it’s removed while processing.

Quick question for those you have done this.

Bas3d on the qty’s OP posted, how much meat is this in reference to (as in estimated lbs)?

Shank and cubed shoulder. Wife is buying some baguettes at the store. Excited to try this.
