I'll take it, endorse it then send it back to help pay for my 2019 taxes.

I dont qualify but if I did it would be spent the moment I received it. I would do my part to stimulate the economy as it is intended to do. I need a couple new toys for the boat. Like I said, I dont qualify so I will be buying those items anyway so I'll be stimulating the economy with the after tax money I currently have. Im just glad some decent hard working folks are at least getting some of the money I send to the federal thieves. Usually my money goes to lazy folks and politician friends.

My family wont qualify if those are the standards I saw earlier today. But I would not accept as I know our nation cant afford it. In 2008 we loss our ever-loving minds when it was almost $1 trillion and now we are more than doubling that amount at $2.2 trillion, and talks have started for even more!!! Has everyone forgotten "government motors", "welfare", etc? Probably not, but this is different somehow......it is not in my opinion. Folks, the allotted amount of dollars going to this GLOBAL HEALTH CRISIS does not seem right. It is waaaaay low as a percentage of $2.2 billion in the stimulus package. Hopefully that number goes up substantially or we could be spitting in the wind to solve the invisible enemy. The pork is ridicoulous…….as usual! But we continue to accept it as a nation! The panic has really put us in a very awkward position as a nation moving forward. Are we putting our sovereignty as a nation in deeper jeopardy? ABSOULUTELY! Who will buy/finance the incredible debt load? Looks like only China can afford to buy it...…….oops......that would be catastrophic. I guess a war could solve that issue. The stimulus has been signed, thus is a DONE DEAL but economically it does not balance in our lifetimes. Inflation has got to geaux crazy right? I gotta be missing something huge......I actually hope I am.

We are doing the same all while keeping 37 folks employed. Gotta let some other personal and family plans geaux but it is worth it to keep a few afloat.

If I qualify, I’m taking it...because it’s mine! I was torn when we bought our 1st house and obama was offering new home buyer credits or whatever it was. My dad told me “the government doesn’t give you money, if they offer to give any BACK, take it”.

The problem is it’s borrowed money Dale. “Our” money was spent years ago.

                    Oscar is spot on above.

The worst part of the deal is that this debt equals roughly $60,000 per family and yet they are giving $1200. Go figure.

A lot of right in your post.

Worst part of the entire virus is how many people have been infected with a terminal case socialism.

The treasuries of governments around the globe printing cash like its monopoly money to throw at the problem. Does not sound like a long term solution, and sets a very scary precedent.

I am on the Trump train. But really dont like the way he is spending money we dont have.

                          What choice does he have?

Serious question. What other option/plan could Trump do at this point?

Government borrowing and waste in a daily thing. They borrow money to give to the Kennedy center for the arts, planned parenthood to kill human beings, socialist public broadcasting, illegal aliens and welfare trash and a myriad of other crap.

Donald was spending tomorrows money before the virus. And I think he could have made different choices then.

And now he is spending more of tomorrows money, just faster. The easiest solution is to open the economy back up, instead of the treasury. We are a consumer based economy, you need to let people consume.

Think about it this way. Yes its callous, and it should be pretty easy to figure out which group I am in

Would you rather put people 60 years old and older at risk of getting the flu and dying or saddling 25-40 year old with massive amounts of debt and forever change the economic outlook of our country?

There is a lot of misleading info about the stimulus package. A very large portion of the stimulus goes out in the form of loans that must be paid back with interest. Yes the hit will be big but not all is completely lost-----yet. The only real problem I have with it is what Pelosi scabbed onto it and held the country and POTUS ransom over.
