    Trailer safety chains work

Just saw this posted, quite a shock load those chains took. The facebook pictures really give a good perspective.

Use the chains every-time I pulled the camper and when I pull the utility trailer or boat.

Or pull you over the cliff with the trailer

Sorry , I agree but could go either way

I had a brand new , right off the lot pontoon boat come off my hitch running 75 down the hardy toll way and if not for the chains it would have been interesting to see how far that thing would have gone when it popped loose.

Wow! That’s nuts. I can vouch for the chains. I had a popup camper come unhitched from my truck on a pretty busy highway. I lost the battery that was mounted on the trailer tongue, and it beat up my bumper a little. The chains stayed attached till I got stopped. I bet there wasn’t 1/16” of meter left in the link that was rubbing on the asphalt.

Remember seeing ropes tied onto a trailer in DFW once

Those chains and a tow truck driver that happened to be there and quickly hooked his rig up to the hanging truck to stabilize it. Very lucky couple for sure.
