    Mercury v12 600HP

Mods please delete if already posted.

I am sure some of you are into boating as much as I am. Mercury just changed the outboard game today.

    V12 600 HP
    Two Speed Lower Unit
Rotating Lower Unit - PowerHead does not move
    Dual Prop Lower

Yamaha has some catching up to do or they will be out of the big CC market!

I have always been a Yamaha fan but this is pretty impressive. I bet it will be high dollar also.

I have owned most brands and not really loyal to any of them. This is out of my league anyway but it is nice to see so much new tech packed into one release.

I was not a fan of the new v6 and v8 either but they have grown on me. Seeing how this thing trims and how close together they mount them on twin/trip/quads you can understand there had to be some compromise on looks.

The Cartels will have 4 of them hanging off the back of a 30 footer

Probably not too long before we see a 100mph Freeman or similar Center Console.

I always wondered why no one came out with a 2 speed lower unit, or variable pitch prop..

Variable speed props were real, but didn't make much of a splash. Dont even know if they are still made.
