    I was told it was transmission fluid by guys who clean them when they leak. A lot of them are firefighter rope technicians. They use ropes & go up the inside of them. They make a fortune cleaning them up when they bust a leak. It takes a full day, lots of rope & lots of towels but I think I remember one of the guys saying they (2 guys) get $3K for the day to do the clean-up.
