My favorite thing about spam is that you can find a can in the dry box with the paint worn off of it. Open it up and its good as when it was bought....whenever that was.

fried crispy, with fried egg, some cheese in between a couple slices of toast or bun with some tabasco on it. Grew up with it and don't mind saying, I prefer it over bacon as a breakfast meat. Don't do the raw stuff though.

I am not a fan of any meat from a can. Every Christmas someone makes a nasty ole spamball...yuck. We had it fried as a kid, but my mom would usually also fry bologna with it and I tried to stick to the bologna only. But different strokes for different folks.

I have always steered clear of anything with “canned meat” . I prefer fresh, but just might give it a try.

My dad was a big fan of sardines and crackers growing up

Hard to beat when you find a buffet of it, in an illegal grow in CO.
Especially after several miles of walking, eating bars & granola.
Probably ate 20 cans between bow season & 2nd rifle lol.

I am also from Hawaii, born and raised. We still regularly make Spam, eggs and rice for breakfast and Spam fried rice for dinner.

I actually remember when growing up some McDonalds restaurants would serve Spam, eggs and rice for breakfast. Along with podagee sausage eggs and rice. One of the things I truly missed after moving.

I think at one point over 50% of Spam sold in the U.S. was sold in Hawaii. lol
