Ok boys it's about time to get our new thread kicked off! I'm boatless until March, but I'll be ready for the late spring bite!

But it's still deer season! I'll admit, this last hindquarter I muscled out on Tuesday had to pick off trout scales from it and rinse off some fish slime.

Have a hunt at the Powderhorn in January and a bass tournament in February. After those, Fargus and I have to schedule the guided trip we won down in Rockport from the CCA auction.

It's been pretty good. I was wearing em out last week. I'm heading out again Saturday. It's hard not to fish this time of year, the trout are fatter and there's a lot less boats. Last week I caught a 20" trout that weighed 4lb's. Tie on a Fatboy and get busy.

It did. They were cruising the shore line in the back in 6" of water. Picked off a few before the wind got to howling. I was at my place in Sargent for over a week, it was hard to come home.

Wife and I are rolling south for some new year wade fishing tomorrow. It’ll be a nice get away from the hustle and bustle we’ve been on lately.

Strange weekend, lots of big sand trout. 15-16" er's. Even they where hitting a Fatboy. I was wading on the west end and was really shocked at all the changes in the bay that direction. A few of the small shell humps I fished for years are gone, oyster boats got em I guess.

The past two weekends heading back to Sargent I've passed a parade of oyster boats going west in the evening. I love oysters but they've really changed that end of the bay.

Very few fish to report this afternoon... got a late start due to a faulty battery on the boat.

Wife and I threw corkys, top water, and down south few small trout today.
