started watching it last night and was immediately interested as they have an excellent opener...a kick to the head; i couldn't believe that a horse would do that until i found out what kind of horse it was!

Wife and I just watched Unbranded and we loved it.
I knew Ben Thamer at A&M. He's a funny dude.
6 months in the saddle would not be easy. Especially on wild-*** mustangs.

Saw it with my wife and daughter and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. I was surprised my 11 year old enjoyed it as much as she did.

Yep great documentary. I'm sure they were on a tight budget but I wish they could have made it into like a 10 episode documentary.

Watched it after seeing this thread. Great documentary but I'm equally as confused with the guy at the end. I thought he might be paying tribute to his grandfather who almost made it to the top of Everest (which would have been his 7th tallest peak on 7 continents). Somewhat of a tribute to "almost"...

I watched this the other day. What an awesome deal. Great idea, trip of a lifetime, superb videography, excellent story telling..... The last mile deal left me a little perplexed, but whatever. Lifelong memories for those guys for sure.

Pretty cool adventure... wish I had done something like that at that age instead of just floating the river every weekend.
The whole 'the last mile ' thing was kinda drama-queenish..

The last mile was an FU to the group as the boy felt he did a lot on his own outside of the group(rounding up the escaped horses) so he was going to finish on his own.

He briefly explains that in the movie.

I thought it was awesome. But the last mile guy was just not the same as the other 3. I do not think he jelled as well in the group.. But regardless, they are all remarkable for completing such a thing.. That is crazy..

He knew how important it was to the Ben Masters for the group to complete the journey together......I think out of spite he sabotaged that goal.

Probably so.. I bet that has caused some lone term issues going forward between him and the group... Almost like he was making it more about him then the group and what they set out to accomplish...
