We hunt some land about 10 miles to the west of Raymondville in willacy county. We have some areas that are cut but not yet tilled that we plan on planting some food plots. There is a large plot cut about 50 yards wide and several hundred yards long. Any advice on what to plant in this area and when to start the process. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

No help for this specific area, but I would start with a soil test no matter where you are in Texas. I have used Whitetail Institute Laboratory Soil Test Kits and was happy with the report. This may help decide what your soil will grow.
