Did you go to school with Mike Fox? Also if you went to the same school as Janis Joplin, You should have went to school with Coach Jimmy Johnson

Brandon Belt struck me out. Being a lefty hitter myself, he was tough. I still remember his curveball thinking I was about to get hammered, but then it fell right in the sweet spot for strike 3. I did capitalize at my next at bat!

If the qualification for famous is media coverage, I'm going with Eddie Taylor. He would've been one of the last classmates I would've chosen to make CNN.
There was something comical about the plot by four Klan members to blow up a chemical plant in Wise County— and that was before their own Imperial Grand Wizard turned them into the feds.

80% of the people mentioned I have never heard of. Playing college sports or even being on a pro roster does not make you famous.
Wait! I know some people who played football in high school still are a legend in their own mind.

Man, I was bussed to an inner-city HS in Austin. I can't think of any notable graduates.

I remember reading about a crew that came out of Big Sandy. David Overstreet, Lovie Smith and some others.
