Baby Deer - what would you do?

We were running trot lines this morning and I kept hearing bleating. Finally spotted this little fellow over against the bank.

What would you do?

Try to help him but would be worried he would jump in the river and drown. Might do more harm than good if you stress him to much or pressure him to the point he/she hurts itself.

Caught and moved to high ground. If he drowned getting away.... he would have drowned without me there too. He had nothing to lose

That’s what I thought as well. We eased over and he was all wet already. That is about 6’ to the water line. I helped him up over the lip. I figured I would rather a coyote get him than the turtles.
