I saw several badly overloaded boats head out of Froggies last week....

Wild ride across West Matty overnight trying to beat the storms.



No Yamaha? If I can't do Etec I'd go Yamaha 2nd.

Reminds me of a trip to the island a few years back. This was the view leaving Froggies. Just barely came off plan into our cove when the storm hit. Not the best move in hindsight.

Fishing has been hot, South Bay and Super flats have been real good to us. Finished my limit if trout and reds in about 2 hrs Sunday and Saturday.

East bay was rough on Saturday, I can only imagine west bay.

Some of the things people do in boats blows my mind most day.
I don’t see a life jacket in the bunch.

Exactly right, poor decision on my part. My old pontoon barge was scooping swells while we're watching electricity chasing us down, got to the island and truck had a flat tire so grabbed the other truck and hauled butt, got to the first big turn and found out no brakes lol. This place is always trying to kill me. I should probably stop coming out here in the middle of the night.

It's pretty shallow Les and holds a lot of redfish. Night time, lights and docks - easy numbers but size can be an issue. I think the middle is 4 - 5ft deep? Are you taking the boat?

Typical, the weekend I don’t fish the wind isn’t blowing.

I’m sure it will be blowing at gale force next time I go.
