All these duck boats are great, but I hunt big open water shorelines on the coast with nothing but sand. How are these mud motors and gator tails in the sand?? I’ve suction cupped a few hulls to the bottom and I’m not looking for that ever again.

They are not made for sand. The motor can’t dig in the sand and it will chew the prop up in no time.

Home made jon boat. Just got numbers for it a couple of weeks ago. I will be needing to make some changes before it sees it's first duck season so looking at your boats and Texas Grown's Jon Boat thread for ideas. First things I need are step for my dog, some kind of "stick it" anchor and a head light system.Last edited by PlanoDano; 01-25-2022, 01:53 AM.
