Texas Burger on Huebner just off Babcock

Jacalas has been horrible the last couple times we have been. It was recently sold and I doubt we go back, which is hard to say since my wife has been going there since she was a baby.

We will have to try a few of the others that were mentioned.

Great place as everything on the menu is really good.

Chester’s Hamburgers is still my SA favorite burger joint. Get a green chile burger(ask for the GC heated) and fries! Yummy

Most of the Mexican grilled chicken places make a good burger
Chesters
Chris Madrid has a good burger
Jim’s dinner frontier burger

It really depends on whether you like flame grilled or cooked on a flattop grill
Also sides? Onion rings, tater tots, fries,ect

La Fonda or Blanco Cafe

La Fogata used to be our go to but last couple of meals there over the last year were poor and the service lacking, disappointed cause we’d been going there for years.

Gotta try taco bell and whataburger

I like the lingua mexicana at Palenque Grill and taco palenque any day of the week.
Burgers, whataburger still.

Drive to the side of town that you see stray pups in the street. Open the door of any restaurant. The one that smells like fabuloso. That one will be the best. Even better if your feet stick to the floor a little. The fancy ones mentioned above are 70% eye appeal. 20% good 10% fake 100% gringo owned.

Last but not least. The restaurants I mentioned do not have a website. Just great food!! Enjoy!!

It’s been a few years ago, but Ray’s Drive was good. Not fancy, fairly cheap.
