I suspect Aranda knows he has a great opportunity at Baylor with OU and UT leaving. He'll be paid well, is greatly appreciated and respected and has an easier path to the playoffs than being in the SEC or BIG10.

I could see where Grimes might be offered a nice G5 head coaching job, and if that were to happen, he should take it if he wants to advance his status.

If he's willing to put in the work, it looks like a great opportunity. Kind of wish he'd go to another conference, though.

Other than OU, it would be hard to argue that any other school besides Tech is QBU over the last 20 years or so. Not sure how many QBs they've put in the League but it's been a bunch. Mahomes is the most prominent but there are several others.

If Ewers has learned some humility and is willing to work, I'd happily take him at Baylor. Likewise, I'd take Brennan as well. Never can have too many talented QB's as far as I'm concerned. Baylor may be down to number 3 depending on what happened to Shapen's shoulder yesterday and whether Bohannen's hamstring will heal in time for the bowl game.

I was referring to programs moreso than lifestyle.

As far as living....the only thing good about Miami is the gun laws and governor of Florida. That is the negative for Oregon but they win on everything else. Hunting, weather, snowboarding, etc.

So much voter bias all you can do is laugh. The Butkus Award is supposed to be given to the best LB in CFB. It’s an individual award, not a team award.

In 12 LSU games, D. Clark was the leading tackler for every single game.
In 13 UGA games, N. Dean led his team in tackling just once.

Obvious the voters let LSU’s 6-6 record influence their ballots.
Clark was also the leading tackler amongst ALL LB’s

Even against the same competition (ALA) Clark had more tackles and sacks than Dean

College coaches that want to win don’t have time for any of that and it’s secondary. Great college coaches want to win and be in a place they can recruit great athletes. Recruiting to Miami is way Easier than recruiting to Oregon. Don’t forget Miami was a powerhouse at one time

I would agree in principle but you can make the argument that if you are playing on a better team individual stats are hard to build because everyone Around you is so good. In essence your main competition is on your roster
A great athlete playing on a mediocre team will shine and rack up the individual stats.
