My landowner recently replaced our windmill with a solar system but it will not pump, even on a clear day, unless the panel is facing directly at the sun.. Is this normal? It doesn't seem right to me.. Are the solar panels too small or what?

We have solar wells. They work, most of the time. For your situation, we need pictures of your setup, well depth, etc. Not enough information, to give you a reasoned response. |

I've set up a couple of them and that's definitely not right.
My RPS will pump under any daylight. Cloud, rain, early or late. My cheap Ebay kit will only pump solid if there's direct sunlight. Just a trickle if cloudy. Both systems use the same model panels and are set up with the max total wattage that the controller is rated for. |
